Does any1 remember it? i ve been talking about it some time ago, so i ve finnaly tested it ... if ANY1 know for, when you click the U button you get units info table, so when you click some of your unit or formations you get its statistic, like fear of battle, fear of mod, fear of fire, or even decerese in morale if their officer got killed or they dont have a flag bearer etc., so i ve added a new thing... when you click U ... if you have a general unit you will have also info (distance to General) if he is to far away he wont influence your units if he is close, your units or formations morale will jump sky high... and well i ve been doing some test, and there was a skirmish between few formations mostly equale, and as soon as i ve sent the general, my troops won, cause they didnt run away ... also thats not the only advantage to general... your routed units gather around the closest general and their morale gets 'refilled' it gets back to the nomal stage! And thats not the end to that... you will be careful about your general not only cause of this benefits, but also if any of your generals gets killed it will influence all of your units in a negative way... so you will be guarding it well ...
SO comments people? do you like this? _________________

BRILLIANT!
Any chance of some screenies?
Also will there be grades of generals? For example a poor general wont raise the moral as much as say napoleon. This could be linked with how well led nations were and the average quality of the leadership.

Hey Gex,
I love the knew troops, but I am most looking forward to the tactical challenges of the MOD: Generals, rates of fire, grape all will go to making the MOD a totally new game.
I am in need of some new screens however!!! I have made three new maps for MOD, give us your email and I will send you maps, then you can publish some pics that show of your new troops and new terrain!!!!

Excellent idea/s and the opportunity of being able to send a general to a certain area of the map and aiding his men to fight their way through ( due to higher rate of morale ) and possibly breach the enemy defenses quickly and with fewer losses should make some battles far more exciting.
And the possibilty of search and destroy missions to murder the enemy general/s and hopefully finish off the enemy far quicker should be fun also.
excellent work Gex ( and to your aides also ) looking forward to your new revelations as always m8. _________________

Hi there Gex,
Great to see that your original idea has stayed and that you are continuing to improve it.
On question though: Will the General be able to create a unit just like officers do and will this unit be able to have an additional moral booster?
I think that this will be a useful feature and helps limit the speed of which the enemy could "run down" the General. Maybe you could make it so that the unit of which the General commands cannot be broken.
The bad point about this idea though is that if fleeing troops rally to the general a player can just keep on reforming the unit and thus have a unit that will be a pain in the arse to destroy.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Cheers,

BUT ALAS BLACKPOOL, ISN'T THAT JUST WHAT A GENERAL HAS THE ABILITY TO DO IN REALITY........RALLY THE TROOPS TO HIS SIDE AND REFORM REGTS AROUND HIMSELF . MAKING THEM BEILEVE THEY CAN STILL WIN THE BATTLE AND FIGHT THROUGH UNTIL VICTORIOUS. _________________

My first map I make using the MOD will be for the next Hawks championships and my army will be formed with regiments of 120 generals and I will clear all armies before me and I will be "CHAMPION OF THE HAWKS" and rule the world,
yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Seriusly I love the idea of having a Generals prescence on the battlefield.

Yes A good move about generals, and also I agree that if its possible to have varying grades of generals, but even having a general for a starter is great |
