Hi
Anybody read the book "Through Hell for Hitler", by Henry Metelmann. I started reading this book and couldn't put it down. Henry Metelmann served as a Panzer driver during WWII on the eastern front. If you are interested in real life straight from the horses mouth WWII exploits, this is a very interesting book.

I SAW A DOCO /FILM ON THIS MAN ON UK HISTORY CHANNEL IT WAS SUPERB THEY DID A RECONSTRUCTION OF THE BOOK YOU MENTION

I am half german so, my great grandfather was on the east front, and i have heard some pretty horrifying stories from the east front and particularly Stalingrad which he survived. My dad has told me how they had to lock him up every night because he would think he was still in Stalingrad.

If you get the chance to read the book do so, it is a fantastic storey. Very sad and very true.
