Well people when the first gold version gets out in 2 weeks... i expect some new maps for it Razz

... well since there will be austria, france and britain in it here is a big assortman of battles that can be created (i will add as a bouns in the editor, few spanish, portugese and some rhienbund units so that the maps can be made completely) ... so what do you people say about a tournamte with the mod?... Rolling Eyes

Well a tournie would be a good idea , but we would either have to finish the doubles tournie first ( that should take 3 years at the current rate Rolling Eyes

) or we could cancel the doubles and opt to try a singles tournie with the mod. This idea may need the discussion of the council of 7 to make the appropriate decision.
Maybe Theo could put the idea forward in a new thread and from there we judge the general concensus of the hawks.
If it looks very clear from the responses given we could simply agree with the majority or put the vote to the council to make a final decision either way. Or the third option could be to run 2 concurrent tournies as this may infact boost the numbers of active hawks on Fb.
I think utilising the new mod would give the map makers something to get their teeth into ( we know STu has maps ready and waiting to deploy the new troops ) and I think quite a few hawks would be willing to drop other games ( eg rtw , etc ) at least for a short while.
Getting stuck into the new mod, especially if it means learning how the new troops work and fighting new maps and fightnig in a new single tournie could encourage Hawks out onto the fields of honour.

So what do you think Theo ???

Cant say anything about maps, But would love to play in a tourniment.

I have a suggestion on tournament play though. since some people are spread far and near. perhaps a regional setup would work well?

each region would play off and have a champion.

That campion would play in the finals.

All players in a region would play each other 2 times, more of a leage than a tourniment. That way each player gets to play plenty of games. and has a chance for revenge to LOL.

Since all are in same time zones, games should go pretty quickly.

Just a thought.
