Hello MDW Hawks !
I just bought MTW and im impressed by this game. MTW is really amazing : landskapes, music, morale system ... Hawever i still dont have VI addon so i cant join rather Your Company . I didnt play muliplayer yet so my question is :
In mulitplayer mode its possible to play only battles or Compaing too ( with all this nice figures which u moving on map ) ?
Second is : Which Mod is recomended ? I sow few websites with Napoleonic mod but flags looks little odd, second MOd ive seen its Hellenic Total War - this one looks realy good and intresting. Anyone was testing this second mod ?

Hi m8,
Firstly i dunno about mod and we hwks don't use it.
Second you can not play campaign..like seeing all europe.Just the battlefield.

So to get many money you need to improove fields and make mercenary shops or whatever they are named especially in provinces that are at sea.At the ones that are at seas make these mercenary shops and docks too.I am not sure but i think if you place ships too between docks at other countries you mighty get more money.
And about alliances all with fight agaisnt you.Take a good nation and easy like spain.There if you start gonig in africa the pope will suport you vs mulsims so it will b easy.From chirstians it is unlike many will attack you french are busy with germans and english.only aragonese are a small threat.VERY small.So fighting vs muslims will get you alliances from christians.Also cruciades to neighbouring muslims cities is good.You pay 1000 but you get nice soldiers.

Press space bar before ending the year. Red is bad and yellow can also be bad. Green is ok. If you have anything other than green you could have rebellion.

Always keep a garrison of peasants. At least 100 but 200 if possible. Do not use anything other than peasants since it is a waste of resources. Always ensure that the seniour officer of the garrison is high dread so that the populationn will fear him. If you cannot get high dread then go for high accumen. This will mean he has the intelligence to manage the poplulation.

Build a celtic cross and then a chapel. This will increase the populations happiness too.

Stay in a province as long as possible. The longer you are there, the more they will like you.

Put an ambassador in your areas too. He will keep a watch on the population and stop them rebelling. A watchtower or assassin will stop him sending spys into your areas. His spys will undermine your control of the populace.

I have playe all the campaigns of very hard and have won half to two thirds way through the campaigns.

If you want to keep allies you must attack once and then stop. They will forgive you. If you need to attack more than once, do it all in one go and wipe out the enemy in one. If you can do this, his alliances die with him.

The best way to take out an enemy faction without affecting any alliances is to drop assasins on his royal line. Take out the king with about nine assasins and his princes with about six each. His nation will turn into rebel factions and his alliances will be nul and void. You can kill him is sections with no fear from his allies. You will need to identify the areas you can recruit high quality assassins. YOu will need them to be fully upgraded.

Keep your taxes low. You need 100 percent loyalty in an area to ensure allegience. If you have low loyalty, adjust the taxation one level down untill you get at least 100 percent. Aim for 120 percent if possible and this will cover all eventualities.

Now im playing single compaign and i see its like a hard habit. Its madness friends - but im siting at 4 oclock at night isntead to sleep and fighting and fighting - my first compaing is full of mistakes ( cos i started witout reading instruction ) and now im depresed. Im playing as Poland and im close to fall. Our Europe falls under Allamnache ( or similar name - arabian coutry with oragne colours ) This was like a flood. They comes from Gibraltar -first lost Turkey and Spain, later they captured France Germany, Dennmark and Papa State. Now im in alliance with England ( which is defending on island, but Oranges captured Irland ) Russia ( which looks ekshausted ) Egipt ( was trying offfencive but now its stopped and only defending ) and Sycylia ( which has now only one last province..) . But its going to nowhere, we losing battle after battle - i have only 3 generals and maybe 500 florens in treasury...and orange has maybe 100 armys and about 6 great generals Can someone give me any adivise ? Haw to stop this orange flood ?

By the way - about Hellenic Total War - this mod really looks very nice - just take a look on few screenshoots:

This mod required MTW plus VI. But looks nice isnt it ?

Kosc m8 i hear ya!

This game was an obsession i would literally would play the whole day till 6 in the morning trying to beat it

I first tried with teh english, then i got nowhere then the germans, then the byzantines, then the germans again and finally the byzantines!!

With the byzantines i managed to win the field, those swordsman that they produce are pretty wicked!

sometimes i got so frustrated i felt like throwing the game away, hel i even uninstalled it once lol, but i caqme back and finally beat it and now i can finally rest in peace! the Almohodads or whatever tehyr call, they r sure a bitch to play agsint i think the muslim nations r tough, but i sure put those muslims to the sword! no breathing room there lol

And kosciusko:U are already in deep shit.Try firstly a war of polithics.Invade his teritory with asasins,catholic priests,cardinals,spyes.After that crucades might help a bit but you already have BIG problems so the best would be defence.Ally with all neighbours and JUST defend.Defend lesser poland.THERE you MUST meet them.In lesser poland is grass that helps your men and causes problems to their bedouins.Also in lesser poland there are many good hills.SO THERE YOU MUST DEFEND.Also make people ADORE YOU.THEY MUST CONSIDER YOU A GOD.This will help if the almohads will take and of your provinces.your pleople that are catholic will love you and will rise against the muslims.Also make citadels and fortresses if possible.The almohads after conquereing province will most likely try to attack your fortress.Do'nt worry about your peoples' loyalty.They will love you if you have many troops there and good taxes(maximum high taxes).You have few provinces so the king is near all this improoves morale.
But if you want to start all over again start by counquering ALL neighbouring provinces,make alliance with germany and conquer Hungary

Thx for advice Emperor - it wasnt bad and help me much. I signed shamed peace with Orange Muslims ( to get some time and prepare new tactics ) and created NEW MODEL ARMY - 30 bishops covered by 10 spyies , few emissarys, princes, murders... and i send all of them on Alamanache enemy territory. COs on occupied area orange has in each province VERY HIGH level of Taxes - i didnt need to wait for effects so long. All Italy made revolit and Almanache had to send some corps on south - then my small army crossed border. Orange send all reinforcemt to attacked province . I had 650 men and he 1400 . It was my first really great victory - what a massacre ! Light cavalery is great when enemy is routed and trying to escape - most of escaping troops were catched ! Now i saved game and hope so my offencive will be continued and full of glory on evening.
