Use of:
Sapper (sappuer/ pioneer etc.) - are able to throw granades at buildings, also they build blockhouses, and towers!
General- Boost up units morale when near them, routed units rally around him ... he 'refills' the morale of troops near him, when he dies the morale drops!
Generic unit(s) to all nations:
-Artillery will have artillery crew!
-Town Milita (some sort of police) Will be a fast creating, non formational unit, used for guarding mines and patroling in cities (settelments)
'*' after the units name means name changed or added after this list has been published! _________________

WHATS THE POINT of the duchy of warsaw??????? they had almost no real role in the nappy wars. they just gave nappy troops. Portugal had a much more important role imo id say ditch duchy of warsaw for either Portugal or the netherlands, just a suggestion

Ol' duchy had more importance than netherlands and portugal together, the duchy was 1 of the reasons why nappy attacked russia! _________________

Exactly GeX!
Polish dream of impendence and great support for napoleon before he became emperor caused that we were the most important part of middle-eastern european policy of that times!
Here are the links for those who do not know much of that yet!:
http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Metro/4348/contents2.html
http://www.zum.de/whkmla/region/eceurope/duchywar.html
http://web2.iadfw.net/napoleon/duchy-guard.html
http://www.thomasgraz.net/map-PL-1809.htm
@GeX:
Try to look more carefully at this link: http://web2.iadfw.net/napoleon/duchy-guard.html; (the size of the hats! "czapka's! try to do something with it! hey!)
I made small research on the colour of trousers of "red" lancers, as you can see they are prtesented in three main types:
1. blue with red belt along whole leg;
2. red with blue belt along whole whole leg;
3. red with brown belt along whole leg;
1st red lancers regiment:
2nd red lancers regiment:
3rd regiment: (with lithuanian tatars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) - think of addind\g them too GeX!
The colours depended on the region from which the cavalrymen camed out. Red lancers were divided into some smaller sub-groups, the differences were only connected with the colour of trousers . But the most elegant are lancers with red trousers with brown belt! They are on the best painting of Wojciech Kossak "somosierra charge".
Will you make a totally new officer for each contry? will DoW have unique one then too? In fackt polish infantry officers were simillar to french ones, but cavalry officers were totally different... SEE HERE http://www.thegameheaven.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=380&st;=0
If you need also any additional info even about orther countries, go and ask me! TGH history consultant LOL

i still disagree (doesent matter though as its not my mod but ill offer sugestions ) but the poles never really had there own standing army at this time, it was integrated in with the french one an wasnt very steller as a whole. Question what do the poles think of nappy who used, abused, then abandoned poland?
plus with only wat was it 1 unique unit? seems like a waste of time.
and another note, is there any reason y the 1st 2 nations are full of unique units and then the rest (except for britain) are just generic troops with maybe 1 or 2 new units.
its just after the 1st 2 great nations the rest excludeing Britain are lame an generic it just kinda seems like u went all out for 1st 2 nations and are now watering down the rest _________________

I've probably gone on about this a bit much, but for the british are you sure you want a hussar? Light dragoons looked soo much better and more unique, compared to contentinal hussars. Apart from uniform, there was no real difference betwwen the hussars and LDs.
Also will spain have gurrileas insted of militias?
Keep up the good work! _________________ ''If ee can see Wales then it be raining'' |

any chance u would consider KGL instead of dutch an belgian units for the brits? the brits did have the kgl but dutch belgian troops werent british, so maybe dump the dutch an use KGL they would be much more useful to map maers i thinks _________________

well since this is supposed to be a realistic mod (and since theres not a great irish unit) i dont think it makes sense to give the english dutch troops (which they only had at waterloo an that campaign) instead of the KGL which was a famous division in the brit army and which actually fought at most of the brits major battles, dutch troops belong more with the french then the english as more of them fought for nappy then nosey an the allies. _________________

Well the light infantryman looks more or less like the KGL line infantry, so 2 buggers with 1 stroke _________________

Yeah lol... that was a bugger, do you know that KGLs used the front doors of La Haie Sainte to make fire ... LOL ... thats the funniest thing i ever heard in the napoleonic era
If it makes you easier on the heart Sharpe i will rename the Light Infantryman to KGL musketeer ...! _________________
