Have never realised before but i was recently doing some surfing of the net as my brother had joking said he wanting to call his unborn child najibullah" I thought it would have some funny story behind the name or something like that cos thats what he's like to tell you the truth.
anyway when researching this I came across a site that shows coats of arms and I always new that my family name had a official coat of arms and whilst there I also saw Caseys which is in fact his Avatar.
The wife asked me look up her maiden name and it wasn't there which prompted the question "why" I didn't have a clue but thought one of you very knowledgable people would be able to inform me and I also thought it could be a good start to a discussion _________________ Remember that nobody will ever get ahead of you as long as they is kicking you in the seat of the PANTS! |

Maybe the site or sites you checked just didn't have that partiuclar name listed?
Or, is her name not of a European origin? I don't think the idea of a family crest has really existed elsewhere in the world besides Europe, and from there North and South America and the other nations largely influenced by Europeans.
Or maybe her last name has since been changed in spelling and is not close enough to the original spelling to merit a "alternative spelling result". _________________ "Cry 'Havoc' and let slip the dogs of War." |

It may depend on how far back the name actually goes, because if it's a more modern name (like after the times when they would be used etc), then there might not be a coat of arms or crest. Although i'm not 100% certain on that.
Just looked at my surname's coat of arms, which I'm told is based in Scotland, complete with the motto 'Touch not the catt bot a targe' _________________
