Once I've finished my map competition entry, I planning to do a series of maps based on the many wars in india during the period. Assaye has already been done I think, but there were absolutly hundreds of battle fought between the natives, the british, french and dutch.
My first planned map will be the siege of seringapatam, focusing on trying to take the well defended breach and the storm of the city. What I need are some ideas and tips for such a battle and wether you think it would be better to use Gex's mod units (howitzer and british units) or stick with the orignals (so I have the pueblos musketeer for the indians). Also I can't decide on what unit to use for the sepoys, any ideas?

Wow thanks - I was thinking of using the pueblos musketeer as he looks fairly indian, but the russian chap looks better. I finished my competition entry yesterday, so I'll get started today.
PS Great maps stu! icon_razz.gif

Jib

That's a great idea mate, I have often wondered what Wellingtons first ever battles were like. India was where he learnt his trade and became a distinguished soldier.

Good stuff mate very interesting.

I like the Peninsular war and have found some great maps to do.

Yours SW

Good luck with the peninsula maps SirWilliam! icon_biggrin.gif

Well, I've more or less finished seringapatam and I think I may enter it for the map competition. Any way I was wondering if anyone could help me test it, or at least scrutinise it to tell me where I'm going horribly wrong icon_lol.gif
Cheers
