Has anyone read any of this series? I've just picked up the first in the series, and I'm already hooked after only the first chapter.
For those of you who haven't heard of it (and bear in mind that I hadn't till a few hours ago) It's about a cornet in the 6th Light Dragoons, as he watches the Battle of Waterloo unfold.
I was looking for a good read that wasn't by Bernard Cornwell, and it seems like i've found one! _________________

Here's a complete list of the books in the series:
A Close Run Thing - Waterloo, 1815
The Nizam's Daughter - India, 1816
A Regimental Affair - Canada, 1817
A Call To Arms - India, 1819
The Sabre's Edge - India, 1824
Rumours of War - Portugal, 1826
An Act of Courage - Badajoz, 1826
Company of Spears - South Africa, 1827
Man of War - The Mediterranean, 1827
Surely someones read some of these? _________________
