Hi everyone,

First, I wanted to say the site is looking really good. After a long break away I find myself playing AC again.

I created a nice map and wanted to copy it to my laptop. ( AC is installed on both ) I made a CD but when I try to load it to my laptop the files are not there. I went into properties and tried to check for hidden files and even add extensions but no help. On my desktop they show up fine on the CD.

Has anybody had issues with copying their AC maps onto disk ? Maybe it has something to do with my Easy Writer software ?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks - jg1234

Hi There

Try zipping the files and burning a CD that might work, if not I would invest in a memory stick, which is much better than messing around with CDs.

Also you may want to enter our map competition which is now an option on the main menu at the site

I 'll try zipping them. Also, I didn't think about the memory stick - that might be a real good idea !! I know they have come down in price.

Thanks.

HI M8 just a suggestion on your lap top right click the cd icon and click explore, if your cd is in your lap top you should be able to see the files on the disc, then copy and paste them into your laptops american conquest main folder.
Cheers Bud

Regarding usb memory sticks, if you live in the Uk and can get to a PCworld store you will find the "Disgo Lite ( silver ) 128mb" has been reduced from 49.99 to 29.99 ( for the last several weeks ).

A simple comparison in price would be the normal black 64mb costs 39.99 and the silver 256mb costs 89.99 ( you could buy 3 of the 128mb for the same price which would give you 384mb in total ). icon_cool.gif icon_lol.gif icon_wink.gif
