Hi
I'm looking to recruit some people to help maintain the hawks web site. You will need to know how to program in HTML, preferably Dream Weaver and also use FTP. At present there is only myself maintaining the pages, but I would like some help. There is work to do on the old pages, converting them to the new templates etc and also maintain the news and championship pages. I would like to start a new section on documenting various nations troops, such as Eng, France, Prussia, Austria, Spain, Portugal, and Russia etc. I want pictures of infantry cavalry and artillery and also some info on Napoleonic troop formations etc.
So if anybody is motivated to work on the site, then apply here, but I do stress that time wasters will get a size nine boot straight up the rear end.

I'm acquring knowledge about Dreamweaver in the very moment I'm writing this. I got DW at home and will use it in the service of the Hawks. Tell me what to do, and I will test my new abilities. _________________

Hi Countess, Napoleon and Gazfun
I have made u a package to download to work on the site pages:
https://www.mastersofthefield.com/maps_to_publish/HawksWebsite.zip
Countess if you can do the acfb map pages and Gazfun if you can do the AOW pages they all need to look the same using this template:
https://www.mastersofthefield.com/fb_mod_italian_page.htm
This page is also in the package
Send me the completed pages by email to
bill.humphrey@blueyonder.co.uk
I will check the pages then upload them to the site.
Napoleon I want you to start correlating information about the various types of Napoleonic French infantry cavalry and artillery with pics of uniforms etc. I want you to start the ball rolling with documenting various nations in the napoleonic period. When you get some info and pics we can start to publish it on the site. Lest start with French infantry with a brief descrition and a picture of the uniform.

Hi Countess
Here is what your finished pages should look like:
https://www.mastersofthefield.com/acfb_american_civil_war_page.htm
I want all the text to the left and the graphics to the right.
You need to start looking at the code and not just working in design, the code needs to be neat and tidy. All you need to do is copy and paste the code I have written and debug it for a different page.
If your pages are not right I can't use them on the site.

Hi Sir William
I have looked at the files that have been downloaded, its a little out my depth at the moment, when loading the Navigation files My Visual Basic Program automatically loads.
Im not real good with program code as yet, and as I havent got XP professional I havent been able to learn about programming Webb Forms to Build Interactive Webb Aplications as yet.
The business software i have for my webb site is a prepackaged program.
All I have to do is load in the Webb Pages items.
Ill try to understand though, and help as best I can _________________ Remember the Charge of the Australian Light Horse at Beersheba |

Roger Sir, I understand and will correct the first pages I made. But the Civil War page was no problem with right, since you can use it now? The only thing I did there was to copy the images with the code and paste them on the new template because I found it the most practical. But I couldnt continue in the same way with the other pages so I pasted the images directly, but then the link for downloading dissappeared. But ok, now I understand how to correct the problem. _________________

Hello
Don't forget the easiest way to get the code for a page from the site, is to open the page in explorer from the menu bar, click on View/Source, you can then copy the page source code. You can also download the page graphics to, but you should already have them in the correct folders.

I like to watch and copy the code in Dreamweaver. But DW is not always perfect in showing the fullfillment of your work. _________________
