New Version Ligny; (June 16, 1815) Author: [HWK]bud. Napoleon here attempted to crush and separate the Prussians from their nearby British allies before engaging at Waterloo. The last victory of Napoleon, here the smaller French army (blue) is on the attack against the larger Prussian force (black) that has formed up on the ridge behind the stream that runs through Ligny and neighboring villages. Though outnumbered, the French have a sizeable Guard battalion which, like in the real battle, hold the task of breaking Prussian resistance. No up-grades and no map restrictions. |
New Version Quatre Bras (June 16, 1815) Author: [HWK]Bud; The battle that was to set the stage for Waterloo, this vital crossroads' town in Belgium would see a determined assault by the French (blue) rebuffed by even more determined forces of English, Dutch and Belgians (red). There are important rules to this battle concerning objectives and delayed columns of re-enforcements.
