[FB] Mollwitz

Author [HWK]Stu, Mollwitz (FB Only) 1741 (War of Austrian Succession) No up-grades. This is [HWK]Stu's first contribution to our Hawks group, a premiere map that comes only days after his joining. In this battle neither side is obligated to attack as the initiative was taken by both sides historically. However, it is important that Red players (Austrians) add Orange computer Ally and Blue players (Prussians) add Green computer Ally, forcing a degree of historical re-creation (vastly limiting the ability of either side to hole-up in the villages). Read all accompanying material.

[FB] Chotusitz

Author [HWK]Stu, Chotusitz (FB Map) 1742 (War of Austrian Succession). A battle in which an otherwise timid Austrian (red) commander, Prince Charles of Lorraine, made a bold decision to attack the divided Prussian army (blue) nearly wiping out the contingent nearest him, and for a time holding the town. Austrians are on the attack here, and there are no up-grades. Read enclosed material.

[FB] Dettingen 1743

Author: [HWK]Bud Dettingen (FB Only)1743 (War of Austrian Succession) First created in AOW by bud, he has now rendered us a FB version. The last occasion in which a British sovereign (George II) personally led troops into battle was in this clash, a heavy defeat for French forces (blue). The British and their German allies (red) cut of while retiring towards Hanau, stood to do battle with the surrounding French. The main body of French was on the opposite side of the Main River, and when the French in the town rashly attacked alone they were driven back into the river, suffering 6,000 casualties. The French of this period are played by Spanish with blue facings as they most nearly represent the actual uniform. No up-grades.

Fontenoy 1745

Author: [HWK]SirWilliam, Fontenoy (FB Only) 1745 (War of Austrian Succession) No up-grades. This was a huge engagement involving 100,000 troops, Marshal Saxe and his French troops (blue) repulsed crushing attacks by Cumberlands British, Austrian and Dutch forces (red).

[FB] Hohenfriedberg

Author: [HWK]Stu, Hohenfriedberg (FB Only) 1745 (War of Austrian Succession) No up-grades. Further augmenting our once meager War of Austrian Succesion map collection, [HWK]Stu brings us a battle that was for Frederick the Great (blue) a one-two punch; he first hit the Saxons in the North, defeated them then turned and defeated the Austrians (red) coming to their relief. Read all accompanying material.

[FB] Roucoux

Author: [HWK]SirWilliam, Roucoux (FB Only) 1746 (War of Austrian Succession) 120,000 French against under Marshall Saxe continued with his invasion of Flanders and threatened to invade Holland. The 80,000 strong Pragmatic Allies were forced to take up a position outside Liege where Marshall Saxe attacked them.
