I post changes here as I make them. The most recent updates are at the top of this post.

2-9-10
    Scenario Engine:
    Added random deployment functionality.
    Maps:
    test_map_1: Added. This is for testing the random deployment mode.

1-3-10
    Scenario Engine:
    Added a small map image to the top of the formatted battle report.

12-6-09
    Updater:
    Updater now removes maps that are removed from the map list.
    Scenario Engine:
    Fixed a bug where "select loose troops" only selected a few.
    Changed the regiment creation system so regiments are formed in larger formations. (This can be changed, I want to try it though).

    Mod:
    HQ wagons move the speed of cavalry and are capturable.
    Scenario Engine:
    If one side runs out of HQ wagons, a new one is created at the HQ, as long as the HQ area is not held by the enemy. It costs 5 ammo for each HQ wagon you get this way, so you don't want to keep getting new ones.
    Redesigned the named generals system, so you can set any name you want in the scenario file, and the general in game will have that name.

    Scenario Engine:
    Scenario Engine code restructured to be more flexible. A lot of things were rewritten, if anything isnt working let me know.

    Scenario Engine:
    After 50,000 ticks if the casualty numbers are too low, the battle ends. (~20% minimum at 50,000 ticks, ~30% at 75000).

    Rewriting a lot of scenario engine code.
    Simplified the scenario system so it is easier to create scenarios.

    Number of surgeons, engineers, etc automatically set depending on total army size.
    Amount of ammo from objectives set by total army size.
    Increased total ammo income from objectives.

    Improvements to save bandwidth and download time with small updates.
    Mod:
    Changed a lot of menu text to be more informative.
    Scenario Engine:
    Improved the auto-reform algorithm, so the highest-ranking officers available will lead reformed units, and they will use a proper set of colors if available.
    Maps:
    dn_gettysburg_south_a_m2: Wheat sprites removed, troop numbers reduced.
    fictional_gl5_a_m1: Added.

    Updater:
    Added list of links to various web pages.
    Mod:
    Rearranged the order that units appear when you select them.
    Scenario Engine:
    Added more officers to the regiments, for a more realistic ratio. Also some regiments have couriers that follow them around.
    Cannons reload time is offset randomly, so a battery will not all reload at the same exact rate.

    Scenario Engine:
    Added battle fatigue system:
    Routed men have half health until they recover.
    Troops regain health slowly over time.
    Wounded troops reload their weapons slower.

    Scenario Engine:
    Added detailed battle reports, printing the strength and casualties of each individual regiment.

    Mod:
    Balance changes:
    Cavalry made slightly weaker, more likely to rout.
    Artillery more deadly (they had been weakened by the previous changes).
    Routed/loose troops easier to kill.

    Mod:
    Cannon graphics fixed so when a cannon is destroyed, you see the cannon, horses and bodies.

    Mod:
    Effect of all types of cover doubled. Remember that cover only protects from musket fire.
    Scenario Engine:
    Made not-yet-arrived troops still count toward total army strength so the casualty percentage is correct.

    dn_fictional_gl8_a_m1: Scenario completely redone, it's a full scale battle now.

    Mod:
    Completely revamped the artillery, so each type of cannon behaves differently.

    Routed men will now go to the nearest HQ wagon when they recover, to make reforming easier.
    Scenario Engine:
    Changed casualty reports to show a random estimate of the enemy casualties rather than exact.

    Scenario Engine:
    Made it so deleting your Field Hospital Tent triggers defeat and prints the battle report.

    fictional_gl4_a_m2: Adjusted OOB to strengthen Union.

    Updater:
    Changed some things to avoid the updater getting stuck.
    Scenario Engine:
    The Scenario engine now prints a battle report at intervals during each battle. These reports can be found in the HDN\BattleLog folder, each one is a separate text file. When a battle ends, it also prints another report which is placed in the HDN\BattleReports folder.
    The game now shows a game end message when the casualties reach a certain point. The game does not actually end at this point, but this is when the battle report is created.

    Scenario Engine:
    Created a casualties report that is shown at intervals.
    Streamlined the Scenario Engine code to improve performance.
    Disabled the automatic stand ground. If I can't figure out a better way to do it, I'll have to leave it off, as for some people who aren't aware of it, it causes their troops to stop in the middle of a charge.

    Scenario Engine:
    Created an objective report that is shown at intervals during battle, along with other messages.

    Scenario Engine:
    Fixed a bug with auto reform.
    Set up the regiment creation function to allow creation of squads or platoons as well as companies.
    Set up the white color as "spectator", so FOW is always revealed for white.
    Maps:
    antietam_north_a: Fixed stonewall brigade in OOB.
    dn_gettsyburg_culps_a: Bugfix.

    Mod:
    Changed medics to move as fast as infantry, but be very scared of fighting.
    Shell explosion sounds changed.
    Maps:
    dn_gettsyburg_day1_a: Removed the blocked water from willoughby run. (I've been there, and the creek is easily fordable anywhere). Also tweaked the OOB a little.
    dn_gettsyburg_culps_a: Added blocking to the defenses on Culp's Hill, added objectives, adjusted OOB.

9-27-09
    Mod:
    Musket smoke adjusted slightly.
    Fileclosers removed from line of battle -- good reason for this, extra men in the back of the formation make it take a lot longer to form in many cases. This is an easy change to revert.
    Switched shell explosion graphics to those from FB. (they were included in DN but not used)
    Scenario Engine:
    Improved the regiment deployment algorithm, so companies in a regiment will be spaced properly and have the colors at the front.
    Made FOW stay lifted until the initial troops are all deployed.

9-26-09
    Mod:
    Fixed a bug with the new sounds.
    Scenario Engine:
    Fixed a bug where US Regiments led by captains didn't get a regimental flag.
    Maps:
    antietam_north_a: Troop numbers decreased.
    fictional_gl1_a: Added.
    dn_second_manassas_a: Changes to objectives.

9-25-09
    Mod:
    Added sounds for when men are hit.

    Mod:
    Set it up so a new mod version is made with even the slightest update, so in the game lobby if someone doesn't have the latest update it won't allow the game to start.
    Scenario Engine:
    Made it reveal fog of war at the beginning of the game for a short time, so you can see the terrain for a bit before the troops are generated.
    Adjusted the random troop algorithm so confederate units have more of their respective state's troops, to give some variety among different confederate regiments.
    Added US Veteran and Recruit regiment types.
    Maps:
    antietam_north_a: Added.
    dn_second_manassas_north_a: Removed.

    Updater:
    Slight modification to updater to save bandwidth.
    Mod:
    Improved stand ground bonus, charges against troops on stand ground will not be as effective.
    Maps:

    Mod:
    Added Gex's objective flag graphic
    Scenario Engine:
    Made Gex's objective flag appear on objectives, made objectives appear orange on minimap.
    Made the select loose infantry button also select loose officers.
    Maps:
    dn_gettysburg_day1_a: Changed many union zouaves to regulars, added generals for the Union.
    dn_gettysburg_south_a: Removed ~3000 troops from each side, so the battle doesnt take so long
    dn_second_manassas_north_a: Removed ~1300 troops from each side.

    Updater:
    Set up updater to allow frequent minor updates.
