Me and my 10 year old son play. I don't see us playing online soon. But could we learn how to set a demolition charge? Or more precisely, how can the set charges be detonated? We always play death matches against each other or against the computer. We have figured out a lot of stuff. But this "weapon" eludes our understanding of how to use it.

You delete it.

:)

Good to hear from you. By the way, the demolition charge isn't in HDN. I don't think I've ever built one.

Hey, what i like to do with the demolition charges is line them up so you can blow them in a big line when the enemy walks over them in a major charge. The enemy will capture the ones they go over but when one of yours blows up it will start a chain reaction if they are properly spaced and destroy tons of the enemy guys. This strat only works against comps though cause a human will capture them with a few guys and blow up your whole chain  . Also they are good for blowing up bridges. In one mission i did there was a bridge the enemy had to go over. I loaded it so full of TNT that when they did the whole bridge plus about all the enemy got blowed up. Well, have fun with your new discovery! :D

yeah, as Garn said, you highlight the charge then push the Delete key and it will either blow up right away or start to burn the fuse and blow up after it is burned through, I kinda forget which, lol.

You and your son might eventually be interested in creating another copy of your game and adding the HDN mod to it. Much different style of play, all battlefield manuevres and strategy. HDN is also highly modded to reflect a more realistic Civil War encounter with mixed rebel troops, moral changes, cover from trenches and fences, objective areas that affect the battle, and on and on.

Anyways, have fun and hope you try HDN soon.
