Download Link I just put this together to make tilemap creation easier. After pressing H in the editor, you put the images it creates into the input folder which is with this program. Run the program, choose your settings, and click generate. If you can, use 1280x768 resolution in the editor when you press H. This will capture all of the map area. You can set the scale, or leave it at 100 and scale the image yourself. After it finishes the process, the image (output.PNG) will be created in the same folder as this program. Screenshot: |

For the DN maps, we should pick a scale and just do them all exactly the same way, for consistency's sake. And I just tried 1280x768, which is actually the best because it doesn't leave any strip, it gets the whole thing. Excellent. |

Great innovation Garnier. As far as scale, don't you think rather that this should be fixed and not an option so that you get uniformity among the Tile Maps? Like 25%? I would hate to see massive large 100% ratio Tile Maps being posted at the Forum which will stretch the presentation beyond acceptable limits. |

I think 20% is the highest we should go, that creates a 1536*768 image from a large map. In any case, if after we have made tilemaps for all the DN maps, we decide they should be a different scale, it's just a matter of writing a program to rescale all of them to whatever we want, which isn't hard. Of course we can only go smaller, you can't scale an image larger. |

Sweet! Making tile maps already took me about 10 minutes altogether, which is not much ( after the "discovery" of the best resolution Will test this thing soon.. |

Tilemaps are up for 30 of the HDN maps (almost all of them). On the maps list you can click a minimap image to see the tilemap. Here's the two spotsylvania maps showing where they overlap: |

I've gotta say again, thanks for this incredibly useful tool Garn..I've been using it a lot lately, even just to get a nice overview of a map that I'm adjusting too see where more attention is needed. It's so quick and easy that doing something like that for a Tile Map that won't even be used is very easy and productive. Nicely done. |
